Alternative TV

Alternative TV enjoy a prestigious reputation on the Punk scene. Fronted by Mark Perry, the editor of the Punk fanzine, 'Sniffin' Glue', Alternative TV were post-punk before there was such a thing as post-punk, capturing the imagination of both, bands and fans alike.This collection consists of previously unreleased live recordings of ATV at CBGB's Music Venue in New York. A brilliant 14 track collection which features the early singles 'Love Lies Limp' (an ode to impotence released as a flexidisc with Sniffin' Glue'), 'How Much Longer' and 'You Bastard,' as well as the punk landmark "Action Time Vision", voted number 31 in Mojo magazine's 100 Punk Scorchers and covered by Billy Childish, Sham 69 and Menace.Also included are the Zappa-like 'Why Don't You Do Me Right?' the raucous 'Good Times,' and dark, avant garde recordings of 'Still Life' and 'Splitting In Two.' ATV will be playing all the major British and European Punk Festivals through the year and will record a new studio album later in the year.Mark Perry has released over 40 albums and singles, and is currently working on a solo album for Overground Records. Later this year, he will have his book published by Virgin Publishing, documenting his time as editor of 'Sniffin' Glue.'A must for any punk fan!
